Beyond Bars is a prison ministry dedicated to bringing hope healing and restoration to men and women impacted by incarceration. Inspired by the mandate in Isaiah 61 we serve those behind the walls and those rebuilding their lives after release offering practical support spiritual guidance and genuine community.

To proclaim freedom to the captives strengthen the brokenhearted and walk with individuals as they rediscover identity purpose and dignity. Beyond Bars exists to demonstrate the love of Jesus in places often forgotten creating a pathway from confinement to transformation.

To see lives renewed families restored and communities strengthened through consistent ministry presence discipleship and reentry support. We envision a world where every person regardless of their past encounters grace and has access to tools that empower long term change.

Who We Are

We are a team of volunteers ministers mentors and partners who believe that no life is beyond the reach of redemption. Beyond Bars values compassion integrity and consistency. We show up where it’s hardest and stay committed through every season.

What We Do

We conduct regular in-facility worship gatherings mentoring sessions and Bible studies designed to build faith and provide emotional support. We offer reentry assistance including resume guidance community referrals housing connections and practical coaching for life after release. We maintain ongoing relationships with participants to ensure they have a stable network dedicated to their success.

Our Approach

Our ministry combines compassion with structure. We listen first understand the needs of each individual and respond with prayer practical help and accountability. Our programs aim to build character strengthen faith and support healthy decision making.

Leadership

Beyond Bars is founded and led by Lekan Olalusi whose heart for restoration fuels every aspect of the ministry. Supported by a committed team he works to ensure that each person served experiences dignity encouragement and consistent spiritual care.
